Privacy Policy
Effective November 2026. This policy covers tunr.me and the Tunr beta waitlist.
The short version
- We collect only what you type into our waitlist form, plus basic technical data any website receives.
- We use it to run the waitlist and tell you about the Tunr beta. That's it.
- We never sell your data, and we don't show ads.
- Tunr is not for anyone under 13. If you're 13–17, we ask a parent or guardian before you get access.
- You can ask us to see or delete your information at any time: cecilia@tunr.me.
Who we are
Tunr is operated by [Tunr legal entity name], [registered address]. In this policy, "Tunr," "we" and "us" mean that company. "You" means anyone who visits tunr.me or joins the waitlist, and, for teens, their parent or guardian.
Questions or requests: cecilia@tunr.me.
What we collect
| Data | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First name, email | Waitlist form | To contact you about the beta |
| Age group (13–17, 18–24, parent or educator) | Waitlist form | To apply our teen and under-13 rules |
| Parent or guardian's email (13–17 only) | Waitlist form | To ask for their permission |
| Consent checkbox | Waitlist form | To record that you agreed to be contacted |
| IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit | Sent automatically by your browser to our host (Netlify) | To keep the site running and secure |
| IP address | Sent automatically when the page loads fonts from Google Fonts | To display the site's typefaces |
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and the website does not collect mood, health or listening data.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Manage the waitlist and invite you to the beta.
- Ask a parent or guardian for permission when you're 13–17.
- Send you updates about Tunr. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- Keep the website secure and working.
We do not use waitlist information to build profiles, train AI models, or make decisions about your health.
Children and teens
Under 13: Tunr is not available to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have, we delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child under 13 has signed up can contact us at cecilia@tunr.me.
Ages 13–17: we email the parent or guardian address you give us and ask for their permission before giving you beta access. If we don't receive permission within 30 days, we delete your waitlist entry and your parent's email.
Parents and guardians can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their teen's information, or to withdraw permission.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run Tunr, and only so they can provide that service:
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts the website and stores waitlist sign-ups | Form entries, technical data |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the site's typefaces | IP address, browser data |
| Google Workspace | Sends beta and consent emails | Name, email addresses |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If Tunr is acquired or merges, this policy will still apply to the information we hold, and we'll tell you before it changes.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information until the beta opens to you or until you ask us to delete it, and no longer than 24 months after you sign up. A teen's entry without parental permission is deleted after 30 days. To delete your information sooner, email cecilia@tunr.me and we'll confirm within 30 days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you the information we hold about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
- Stop sending you emails (or use the unsubscribe link).
Email cecilia@tunr.me. We may need to confirm your identity, or a parent's, before acting on a request. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
California residents: California law gives you these rights too. Users under 18 can also ask us to remove anything they've posted or submitted. We don't respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because the site doesn't track you across other websites.
Security and changes
The site uses HTTPS encryption, and only the Tunr founders can see waitlist sign-ups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, email people on the waitlist first.
